BİR ÜNİVERSİTE HASTANESİNDE ÇALIŞAN HEMŞİRELERİN VENTROGLUTEAL BÖLGEYE İNTRAMUSKÜLER ENJEKSİYON İLE İLGİLİ GÖRÜŞLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Objective: This study aims to determine the opinions of nurses working in a university hospital on injection intramuscular infection.
 Method: study, which was conducted descriptive, composed 131 voluntary nurses. The forms “Personal Information Form” and “The Determination Nurses”, “Opinions Injection Intramuscular Site”, were prepared by researcher based literature, used as data collection tools. Percentage calculations, average measures (minimum, maximum) chi square (χ2) cross tables statistics evaluation data.
 Results: When nurses' administration ventrogluteal sites examined; 58.8% participants made it easier region, 67.1% them thought site safer than dorsogluteal site, 49.6% felt confident while administering 34.3% afraid administer drugs 33.6 % reported that they did not find drug safe for children, 54.2% patient would experience more pain site.
 Conclusion: In light findings obtained within this is suggested in-service trainings provided institutions worked should be repeated nurses’ awareness increased explaining reasons injections with proofs.
